Data Dashboards

Faculty and administrators can access UCSB Data Dashboards to learn more about undergraduate and graduate admissions/enrollments, matriculated students, and graduation rates in programs and courses.

Data Dashboards have been developed by UCSB Institutional Research, UCSB Graduate Division, UC Office of the President, and CITRAL. All dashboards are listed in the Dashboard Inventory. For more information, or questions, contact Nate Emery at nemery@ucsb.edu.

Course Equity Reports

The goal of this report is to allow faculty and department leaders to view institutional data from their courses of interest to evaluate the extent to which students experience equitable outcomes in those courses. The reports present disaggregated student outcomes in a variety of visualizations with guiding text and reflection questions.

Instructors can request a Course Equity Report for any course they teach at UC Santa Barbara. To help with interpretation of the report, Nate Emery will reach out to guide instructors through the data visualizations and results. For any questions, please contact Nate at nemery@ucsb.edu.

Course Evaluation Summary Reports

Course evaluation Summary Reports aggregate student feedback for end-of-course surveys over time for questions required by UCSB’s Red Binder, section I-75 . Typically, summary reports contain data for courses taught during the past five years and include instructor averages, standard deviations and department/college/campus “norms” (5-year running averages). Instructors and TAs may access course evaluation Summary Reports on Canvas (UCSB Tools in left navigation pane→ Course Evals tab), while designated department contacts may access reports on behalf of instructors for tenure and promotion cases using the Survey Request Form→ Reports→ Course eval report. Summary reports are different from end of quarter reports, which include results for participation questions, Red Binder required questions and any instructor-added questions. They can be accessed through https://my-ucsb.bluera.com. For questions, contact support@course-evals.ucsb.edu
